Coronavirus Diaries: Home

Coronavirus Diaries

LSBU Archives is responsible for looking after the history of the University, from its foundation in 1892 to the present day. We recognise that the present situation is extraordinary and we want to make sure that we record the experience of LSBU students, staff and alumni. We are encouraging anyone who would like to take part to keep a diary and submit it to: archives@lsbu.ac.uk

What will happen to the Diary?

The archivist will catalogue the diaries and make them available for researchers of the future. We assume that every diary will be open to be read by anyone - if you would like a delay on this, please let us know.

A Note on Copyright and Permission to Quote

After you send in a diary, we will send you a form to sign to allow access and copying from it - this will be done after we have got back to normal working practices so please be patient.

What Should I Include?

Who you are - student, staff, what course you're studying or what department you work in. If you're an alumni, what are you doing now?
Where you are spending the lockdown.
What adjustments you have had to make to working or studying from home, or if you're still going to work as normal.
How it's going - is it easy? Difficult? What help have you had and how are you finding it?
Anything else you would like to include - how are you feeling about the situation? What else are you doing with your time?
The date! You don't have to write every day, but do ensure that you date your entries. You can submit a summary if you like, but do please make clear what dates are covered by it.

LSBU has dealt with difficult situations before
