Eligibility and Locations

We have 4 Assistive Technology Rooms in the Southwark Campus Library located in the LSBU Hub.  

There is also 1 Assistive Technology Room located at Croydon Campus Library.

Students registered with Disability and Dyslexia Support Team who have been given access as part of their adjustments, are eligible to book these rooms. Check your eligibility in MyAccount under the My Support tab. 

Please note: you can book a room up to a maximum of two hours each day of the week. Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance. All bookings are subject to library approval.

Software and Facilities

All Assistive Technology Rooms at Southwark Campus Library have the following facilities:

Scanners can be accessed from all printers

In addition to this:

ATR C – SuperNova Magnification and Screen Reading software

Ergonomic Chair

Assistive mouse and keyboard

ATR D – Jaws Magnification and Screen Reading Software

Ergonomic Chair

Assistive mouse and keyboard

Please note:  Headphones with integrated microphones are provided in all Assistive Technology Rooms or you can bring your own if you prefer.

Headsets with microphones, are also available to buy from the help desk. Opening Hours.

Your ID card should give you access to the rooms. If there is a problem with your card please visit the Security Office in the Borough Road building during office hours.
