We will see you across the year as part of your course teaching you core skills such as finding the resources you need, evaluating the information you find and recording the sources that you use. These lessons are designed to help you succeed in your academic studies and help your long-term future and career prospects as an accomplished independent learner.
Check the calendar and join one of our open skills workshops designed to build your confidence and improve your information literacy, academic skills and numeracy skills. Workshops are run across all sites and are available in-person and on-line. Choose the format, the time and the location that works best for you! Look out for Assignment Surgeries that are run at busy hand-in times focussing on questions you have about all aspects of completing an assignment!
During term time, we run lunchtime drop-in sessions with our Information Skills Librarian from 17 October in G33 (the room next to the IT Suite). Or if you would prefer an appointment you can book one via myAccount.
We have a wide selection of on-line and face-to-face appointments available for you to book when you need a little more individual help. Choose a 30-minute slot with an Information Skills Librarian via myAccount.
Or, if you need assistance with anything Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or Excel related then please contact Ross Butler on butlerrc@lsbu.ac.uk to book an appointment.
Keep your eyes open for our mini pop-up sessions to give you a refresher, remind you of the skills you have learned or to discover something new, enhance your skills or learn about the collections and resources available to you!
Follow the route marked on the floor to Stop 3 - Silent Study Area and Pod.
