How to write an essay

 

What is the purpose of an essay?

An essay is set to provide you with the opportunity to display your knowledge and understanding of a particular topic.

An essay contains three main elements:

1. Introduction,
2. main body of arguments, analysis, and evaluation,
3. Conclusion.

 

How to write an effective essay?

To write a good essay, you should:have a good understanding of what you have been asked to do:

• plan how to gather relevant information,
• think about how you will present your essay, and
• use appropriate language and writing styles that reflects your subject discipline.
