Accessibility Statement
As part of our commitment to inclusivity and support for all learners, the LRC website has been redesigned to remove the barriers to accessing digital resources and meet the needs of all able and disabled learners so that learners can be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen,
- read the content with a screen reader,
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software, and keyboard; please see the access keys below on this page.

Choose Your Preferred Text Size
Web browsers' text resizing and zoom features can be used to resize the text automatically. The step-by-step instructions below may help you adjust your browser to display your preferred text size and zoom level.
Microsoft Edge
- Click on Settings and then click Accessibility
- On the Page Zoom drop down menu select the preferred text size and zoom level (e.g. 100% is the default size, 110%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%, etc.)
Mozilla Firefox
- Click on View menu and click Zoom (press Zoom In to increase the text size, press Zoom out to decrease the text size)
- Alternatively, click Tools and then Settings:
- Under the option Fonts and Colours – select the preferred font type and increase text size, or
- Under Zoom drop down menu, select the preferred text size zoom level (e.g. 100% is the default size, 110%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%, etc.), or
- Press and hold the Ctrl key and press the plus (+) key to increase the text to a satisfactory size or press and hold the Ctrl key and press the minus (-) key to decrease the text to a satisfactory size)
Google Chrome
- Go to Settings and then click Appearance
- On the Font Size drop down menu, select the preferred font size (e.g. very small, small, medium, large, very large)
- On the Page Zoom drop down menu, select the preferred text size zoom level (e.g. 100% is the default size, 110%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%, etc.)
Apple Devices
- Go to Settings > and then Accessibility >
- Press on Zoom > and set up the preferred zoom level
- Press Display & Text Size > turn Larger Text and Larger Accerssibility Sizes setting On, and then adjust to your preferred reading text size using the slide bar.
Access Keys Used on the LRC website
The LRC website has incorporated access keys and ALT attributes (alternative text) to make it accessible to people with disabilities. However, the website may not meet all accessibility criteria.

How to Use the Access Keys
Access keys have been implemented to access and navigate the LRC website using a keyboard. This is an alternative form of navigation to using a mouse or other pointing devices.
How to use the access keys on Microsoft Edge
- press and hold the Alt key
- press the access key number
How to use the access keys on Mozilla Firefox
- press and hold the Shift and Alt key
- press the access key number
How to use the access keys on Google Chrome

Text to Speech Screen Readers
If you have a vision impairment, please add the screen reader extension to your browser.
If you use Apple devices,
- go to Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver, and turn the setting On
- go to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control, and turn the setting On
- go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > and turn Bluttooth and Hearing Aid Compatibility setting On
