Bailii: British and Irish Legal Information Institute
Access to freely available UK and EU primary legal material and links to other world
collections through WORLDLII. Coverage varies - cases back to 1996, legislation to
1988.

Business Source Premier
Via EBSCOhost databases. Provides full-text for approximately 2,300 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and marketing. Includes Dun & Bradstreet company information.

Cambridge Books Online
Cambridge Books Online offers access to eBooks from their world-renowned publishing programme, covering subjects from all disciplines across science, technology and medicine, as well as humanities and social sciences.

Carl Giles Digital Archive
The British Cartoon Archive is a library, archive and gallery dedicated to the history of British cartooning over the last two hundred years. Located at the University of Kent in Canterbury, it holds the national collection of cartoons of political and social comment published in British newspapers and magazines. The British Cartoon Archive Digitisation Project funded by JISC through its Digitisation Programme, has digitised the Carl Giles Archive, the single most important archive of British newspaper cartoons, and a key resource for British political and social history that has never before been open to the public. Thanks to this funding, staff, students and researchers at colleges and universities in the UK will be able to access and use the entire Giles Collection of 15,000 cartoon images, with some 5,000 pages of related paperwork, free of charge for educational purposes.

Centre for Reviews and Dissemination
CRD produces and promotes the use of research based knowledge in health and social care. It enables you to search the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE), the NHS Economic Evaluation Database (NHS EED) and the Health Technology Assessments database (HTA). It does not contain Cochrane Reviews - for this use the Cochrane Library.

CINAHL
Cinahl indexes over 1600 nursing and allied health journals, and has an international coverage. It is updated weekly. This is the best database to use for an in-depth search, although we do not have access to all the journals covered.

The Cochrane Library is designed to supply high quality evidence to inform health care decision-making.

Birkhäuser is the specialist publisher for architecture, landscape architecture and design.

DLF Data
The UK's only comprehensive, impartial database of daily living equipment. Detailed information on over 14,000 current products from 1,600 suppliers. All products validated by healthcare professionals. Contact details for over 1,500 useful organisations. Includes searching, browsing and product comparison.

Education Research Complete
Via EBSCOhost databases. Education Research Complete is a bibliographic and full text database covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,730 journals, as well as full text for nearly 830 journals. This database also includes full text for 67 books and monographs, and full text for numerous education-related conference papers.

Emerald
Access to management research journals from Emerald publishers. The service provides access to over 20,000 management articles, with a full text archive going back to 1994. Latest journals have abstracts only.

GreenFILE
Via EBSCOhost, Greenfile is a freely accessible research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment, with information on topics ranging from global warming to recycling to alternate fuel sources and beyond. It is comprised of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports.

Provides abstracts in hospitality and tourism journals from 1984 onwards.

ICE Virtual Library
The ICE's Virtual Library gives access to the largest repository of full text civil engineering papers in the world. ICE's archive of technical papers from 1836 to the present day.

International Children's Digital Library (ICDL)
The International Children's Digital Library (ICDL) is a five year project funded primarily by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to create a digital library of international children's books.

IOP Electronic Journals
Provides access to IOP Select, This Month's Papers and the IOP Journal Archive. The Archive is a comprehensive digital collection of all the work published by the Institute between 1876 and 1996 and contains fully searchable PDFs with linked references.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA)
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts, (LISTA) indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Medline - via EBSCO
The US National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database of over 16 million references from more than 5,000 biomedical journals published in the United States and 80 other countries. Subject coverage is from the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences, and is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts. Records date from the 1950's onwards, many include abstracts. The database includes links to some full text articles, but this is not a full text database.

Oxford Journals Archive
The Oxford Journals Archive contains the content of each journal from Volume 1, Issue 1 up until the end of 1995. The issues are complied into subject-based archives. There are approximately 3 million pages. Full text PDFs of each article with HTML headers and abstracts are available along with images and graphics.

Psycarticles
Via EBSCOhost databases. PsycARTICLES, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 134,000 articles from 63 journals - 50 published by the APA and its imprint, the Educational Publishing Foundation (EPF) - and 13 from allied organisations. It includes all journal articles and book reviews. Coverage spans 1894 to present.

This is an online version of the RICS Library's key information source Abstracts and Reviews. It provides an index and abstracts to over 50,000 items held in the RICS Library.

Sage Online Journals
SAGE Journals Online is the delivery platform that provides online access to the full text of individual SAGE journals. The SAGE Full-Text Collections, SAGE's award-winning, discipline-specific research databases, are also available on SAGE Journals Online.

ScienceDirect (Science Direct)
Database containing over 1000 full text journals from Elsevier Science and the leading scientific, technical and medical publishers. Covers life, physical, technical and social sciences.

Scopus is the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Social Care Online
Social Care Online is the UK's most extensive database of social care information. With everything from research briefings, to reports, government documents, journal articles, and websites and you find it all with the click of a button. Updated daily by SCIE's experienced information managers, Social Care Online offers unrivalled free access and ease of use.

Social Care TV
Social Care TV is an online service commissioned and produced by SCIE for everyone involved in social care and social work. It comprises a series of films on current social care issues. It covers adult, children and family issues, and while it focusses on the English care system, most of the programmes will be of relevance across the UK. It also includes links to other useful resources, government policy and related organisations.

Provides online, full-text access to Springer's journal titles as well as journals from other publishers. Subjects include: life sciences, chemical sciences, environmental sciences, geosciences, computer science, mathematics, medicine, physics & astronomy, engineering and economics.

Provides indexing and abstracts for over 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator trade journals to assist professional educators.

The UK Onshore Geophysical Library
The UK Onshore Geophysical Library (UKOGL) manages the archive and official release of 2D and 3D seismic data recorded over landward areas of the UK bringing all available UK onshore seismic data into secure archival storage, whilst providing efficient access to all interested parties: Oil and Gas Exploration Gas Storage, Mining, Coal Bed Methane Extraction Water Resources and Environmental Issues Planning and Engineering Academic Studies and Teaching Resources.
