Havering Campus Library and Student Centre.The Havering Library and Student Centre is situated in Harold Wood, and focuses particularly on subjects related to the Institute of Health and Social Care. The Centre supports students with Library, Learning Resources and Student Life queries. Its book collection covers healthcare and nursing-related subjects. There are spaces in the library for solitary and group work, including a 'pod' for silent study. There are PCs to use, plus laptops to borrow. For printing, there are Multi-function printer - scanner- photocopiers within the library.

Borrowing Books and DVDsBorrow a book or DVD using the Self Issue machine or at our Help Desk. Holds - If you have come to collect a 'hold' item, you will find it on the Holds Trolley to the left of our Self Service machine Interlibrary loans can be collected from the help desk once you have received the email to say it has arrived. Return your books and DVDs at the help desk or using the Self Service Machine. Interlibrary loans should be returned to the help desk. Further information about borrowing resources from our libraries. Borrowing a LaptopLaptops are available for students to borrow from the Help desk.
We have 5 laptops that you can borrow from the Help Desk. 2 laptops are Overnight Loans and can be taken home, but must be returned by 10am the following day. Software currently on our laptops includes: Microsoft Office packages; web browsers; Claro Read; Mind Manager and SPSS. We also have a projector that can be borrowed from the Help Desk. This must be returned 15 minutes before the Help Desk closes.

Wi-FiStudents can connect to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network on their phone and laptop devices using their LSBU e-mail and password. For further assistance connecting to Eduroam, please click here to view our help sheet. Alumni and external visitors can connect to our LSBU Visitor Wi-Fi by signing up for an account on the log-in screen which grants you 24 hours of access. |
Alumni and visitors to the Havering Library and Student CentreFormer LSBU students can use the Havering Library and Student Centre for reference purposes by joining the Alumni Society. There is also a paid membership option of £25/year that permits alumni to borrow up to 5 books at a time.

We have a Silent Study Pod that up to two people can use. You can book this for a maximum of two hours per day.
