Multi Faith Chaplaincy

LSBU's Multi Faith Support Team provide pastoral care and support for students from all faith backgrounds and none. They offer an open and non-judgemental service to explore questions of faith and spirituality as well as other life issues.

Keep an eye out for the Multi-Faith Support Team around the Hub library during busy study and exam weeks where they will be giving out hot chocolate to students.

If you want some quiet and a cup of tea, you can also make use of the Multi-Faith Room (LH-017) – it’s a space for welcome and quiet for the whole LSBU community. The Multi-Faith Room is open when an Associate Chaplain is on site. Although this means hours sometimes change last minute, it is typically open Monday to Friday 10am-2pm.

If you'd rather arrange a 1:1 chat with an Associate Chaplain, email chaplaincy@lsbu.ac.uk

Take a break

Taking breaks is extremely important for your wellbeing and can even increase your productivity during long study sessions. If you're studying on campus, here are some of our recommendations.

Eat well and stay hydrated

Grab a drink or something to eat from one of our Food Outlets on campus. There are also Meal Deals available at some outlets. You can find more information, including opening times and what they serve on myLSBU.

There are water fountains located outside each of the doors of our Southwark Campus Library

Spend time with friends

Use the breakout and outdoor spaces on campus to socialise with your friends and coursemates. Take your mind off your studies and check in with each other's wellbeing.

Wellbeing Moodle modules

There are a number of online resources on Moodle to help minimise and aid you in coping with your stress levels.

Modules include:

  • Mindset Matters - develop positive learning and wellbeing skills to become a confident, resilient learner
  • Being Well, Living Well - learn how to maintain a healthy body and mind while at University

General wellbeing tips

  • Look after yourself!  Eat well and stay hydrated. Get enough sleep. Take regular breaks.
  • Get organised! It can help if you plan your revision days – allocate times that you will sit and revise to ensure you have time to cover all the topics.
  • Ensure you keep enough time free on the day - a 24-hour window can allow other events to interrupt your day.
  • Get outside and spend time in nature - a change of scenery and fresh air can be refreshing.
