Activities:

Here are two interactive activities to help you boost your proofreading expertise.

1.

2. The paragraph about traffic below needs proofreading! Each line in the text has a spelling mistake or the wrong word. For each line, 1 to 10, find the incorrect word or spelling and choose the correct choice from the four options.

In most capital citys which were built long before the invention of
private cars, their is rarely enough space for moving traffic, and
certainly not enough for parked vehicles. Encouraging more comuters
to abandon public transport and banning private vehicles form some
areas may help, but such solutions does not actually diminish the number
of cars coming into the city centre. However, some argue that the
congestion charge has now failed in London because it has not acheived
it's purpose of traffic reduction. A cultural shift is needed for the motoring
public to realise what the private car does not have number one priority.
The city should be a focus for business and social live, not for traffic.
