Reflective writing of some kind is now a common feature of university courses. Why should this be?
The reason for asking students to do reflective writing is that it helps you critically analyze your experiences, thoughts, and learning processes. It encourages self-awareness and personal growth by allowing you to explore how and why you think and act in certain ways. In addition, reflective writing helps you to be more aware of the connections between the theory and the things you actually do in your study or work. Reflection is a good skill to learn because it will be useful if you want to go on learning after you leave university.
