Dr John Bainbridge I have been teaching mathematics at LSBU for over 20 years. I have taught in the School of Engineering and the School of Business and have been working exclusively in learning development and the Skills for Success team for the last eight years. I have a BSc in Mathematics from Sheffield University and a PhD in Software Engineering from LSBU. Prior to working at LSBU I worked in Adult and Further Education in various parts of London teaching numeracy and foundation maths classes.
Dr George Farmakis I have a BSc in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Applied Mechanics from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD in Mathematics awarded jointly by Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh. Mainly, my research interests fall into the area of Mathematical Analysis and in particular the Spectral Theory of Linear Differential Operators. Prior to my current position, I was a Research Associate in Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University (2022-2023). My teaching experience at the university level spans from tutoring undergraduate modules (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists) to delivering lectures (Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists). I have also co-supervised two undergraduate projects in the theory of Fourier Series. |
Dr Daniel Adams
I have a BSc in Mathematics from Sussex University, an MSc in Mathematics from Bristol University, and a PhD in Mathematics awarded jointly by Heriot-Watt University and Edinburgh University. I have experience teaching a variety of BSc and MSc course, such as: Linear Algebra, Stochastic Processes, Multivariable Calculus, and Mathematical Finance. I have also supervised MSc summer projects at Edinburgh University. My mathematical research has been in the fields of real and stochastic analysis. I am also interested in AI and Deep Learning. Outside of work I enjoy rock climbing, cycling and boardgames!
