Harvard

Most students who study at LSBU will be required to use the Standard Harvard style of referencing in their work. However, all students should check with their lecturers which style is required of them before starting to write assignments.

APA 7th

The American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition style is often used by academics operating in the social sciences. At LSBU, you will likely be required to use this style if you are studying a course in psychology.

OSCOLA

Originally designed for use within Oxford University, OSCOLA is now used by law schools throughout the UK and overseas. If you are studying a law related course, you will likely be required to use this style.

IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) represents technical professionals. Their IEEE style is a numeric citation system. You will likely need this style if you are studying a course in electrical engineering.
