3. Topic Sentences
Facts:
The first sentence in a paragraph is usually the Topic Sentence. Often, a good topic sentence:
- States the point you want to make in the paragraph.
- Comes at the start of a paragraph.
- Is not a question.
- Does not use any literature, so...
- Does not have a reference.
Example:
"General Practice Doctors are often too busy to see patients in person."
