What is it for?

The LSBU Library is the central hub for academic resources. It gives students access to a vast collection of books, journals, and digital materials. It has quiet spaces for study, groupwork areas, and access to computers and printing facilities.

Why is it important?

Knowing how to navigate the library and utilise its services will improve your academic work. If you learn how to find and use the resources you need for your coursework and research, you will save time and improve the quality of your work. Additionally, when you have learned how to access online databases and e-books, you will be able to find a wealth of appropriate and up-to-date information.

Examples

  • Research Support: The library offers access to specialised databases and journals that are essential for serious research.
  • Study Spaces: The library has quiet places to concentrate and collaborative spaces for group projects.
  • Workshops and Training: Regular sessions on topics like academic writing, referencing, and using digital resources can help you develop essential skills.
  • Librarian Assistance: Librarians are available to help you with research queries, finding resources, doing references and using library tools.
