The Digital Skills Centre offers the following certification programmes:
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
This is a globally recognised qualification. Having a Microsoft Office Specialist certificate on your CV demonstrates that you have gained the necessary expertise to competently use Microsoft applications, giving you a competitive advantage when job hunting as well as in the workplace.
It will significantly increase your confidence, skills and employability. It will serve to objectively validate your IT skills and assist in your advancement in your chosen career. Each certificate is a qualification in its own right, so you can take just one, or as many as you like. Microsoft refers to it as the "only comprehensive, performance-based certification program approved by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills".
Mac Users - Please Note: Studying for an MOS Exam requires the use of an app called GMetrix. Currently this only
works on Windows PCs and so you won't be able to prepare for an MOS exam using a Mac. You may, of course, use a PC on the LSBU Campus if this is convenient for you.
Adobe Certifications
The Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) is an industry-recognised qualification that validates your skills in Adobes Creative Cloud applications. Please click on the link to see what subjects we offer.
Autodesk Certified User (ACU)
The Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification is an industry-recognised qualification for that validates your skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, Fusion 360 or Revit.
Internet Core Competency (IC3)
The Internet Core Competency Certification (IC3) is an entry-level digital skills certification that validates computer and internet skills.
Please note, we do not provide software for the certifications.
