Skills for Learning: Activities to Help You Get Ready for University Skills for Learning are here to support you in building your fundamental academic skills such as reading, academic writing and critical thinking. We can also help you to improve your grammar and presentation skills.
Below we have prepared a selection of materials that we encourage you to try out before you come to LSBU. They will help you to know more about what to expect from University and introduce you to the essential skills you will need for success.
The Skills for Learning Centre offers an extensive range of online interactive materials via our Moodle site, plus on-campus workshops, drop-ins and one-to-one sessions designed for all levels of study, from foundation year to PhD.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the on-campus provision is currently suspended, but we are still here! We offer support via our Moodle site, email, and Microsoft Teams.
We're here to support all students enrolled at LSBU, at both Southwark and Havering campuses.
