What is transitional learning?

As you progress through your studies, you will need to learn how to find, analyse and communicate information in increasingly complex ways. This means building your skills in Information and Digital literacy.

These transition materials are designed to:

  • re-fresh library, digital and study-related skills you learnt during the first and/or second years of your course
  • provide you with some additional knowledge appropriate to your course level that will help you with assignments and life after uni, in the world of work
  • prepare you for the skills and standards that you will need to learn in the year ahead to take on new challenges such as dissertations.
