LSBU’s reading list platform has changed
Please go to this new location to access Reading Lists Online:
Or go to the Library main page and click on the red “Reading Lists Online” button.
Your draft and published reading lists have all been moved to the new system and the published lists are visible to students.
The new system is very similar to before.
Please submit your 2022-2023 reading lists to the Library for review now.
- Please submit your completed Semester 2 reading lists by Friday 16th December 2022 to give the Library time to purchase and receive the books for when they are needed by your students.
- The Library cannot guarantee that print copies of books on lists submitted after that date will reach the shelves for the start of term.
- Library supply of print books usually takes a fortnight but can take up to six weeks. See why.
New requirements because of the pandemic
- The University has said that all items on reading lists for the 22/23 academic year should be accessible in e-format, such as ebook, online journal article, chapter scan, or webpage, to support remote learning during the pandemic.
- When reviewing your reading list, the Library will therefore ask you to suggest an alternative for any title on your list that it is unable to source in e-format. (Many print books are not yet published as ebooks.)
- Or you could make a digitisation request via the system if a scan of the book's most important chapter will suffice.
