Add items to your reading list:

Staff guide to Reading Lists Online


Add new items to your reading list: 

1. Login to your reading list

2. Click onand select Search the Library. This will search across everything within LSBU and look for titles from external sources including new publications and editions not in stock.

3. Enter your search criteria (e.g. name of the book, article title, ISBN). 

4. If you want to find a specific title, enter the ISBN of that title in the search box will find the exact book.

5. From the results, move your mouse to the item you want to add and clickto add it to the relevant section of your list (e.g. Week 3). You can also add it to your Favourites for later use.  

 

 

 

Add items manually

Create a reference manually

You can also create a citation for your reading list by entering the details of the item manually (e.g. author, title, date). This is useful when the reference is a non-standard citation such as dissertations, news report, or your own lecture material. You have the option to upload the file and make the copyright declaration.

To do this:

1. Click and then select Manual entry.

2. Enter the title of the reference, select a file type.

3. You can choose to upload the file and make the copyright declaration. 

4. You may need to select "More item details" depending on the type.

5. Select the appropriate section and click Add
