What is Reading Lists Online (RLO)?

Reading Lists Online provides easy access to resources recommended by your module leaders, all in one place. After logging in, you can access eBooks, articles, and scanned chapters directly. It also shows the location and availability of print books.

How do I find my reading lists?

You can access your reading list from the relevant Moodle site – usually found in the right-hand panel. You can also go directly to Reading Lists Online and search for the list by:

  • Module name (e.g. Communication for Nursing), or
  • Module code (e.g. HSC_4_025), or
  • Module leader’s name

How can I change the accessibility settings?

From the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of your reading list, select Accessibility settings. You can then choose your desired font size, preferred site contrast, and how long to display feedback messages.

I'd like to save the book I read so that I can come to it later and refer to it

There are three useful functions under the ellipsis icon (…) to help you manage your reading:

  • Quick Cite – Allows you to cite the reference in your preferred style (e.g., LSBU Harvard).
  • Save as Favorite – Lets you save the item in your Favorites box for future use.
  • Mark as Done – Enables you to track your progress by marking items as completed and crossing them off your list

The link in my list is missing or not working

Please let us know by reporting it:

  1. Select the Full details button for the item.
  2. Go to the Links & availability tab, then select Mark as broken or Report missing links. You can also add a comment if you wish.

My lecturer said a chapter has been digitised from a book but I can't open the link on the reading list
