Best Practice tips

To reference a print map use the Map (print) guidelines.

Format of the reference

You will need:

  • Name of the author(s)
  • Year of publication
  • Title of the map and scale
  • Map series
  • Digimap URL
  • Date accessed

 

Format:

Author’s name, Initials (Year) Title of map, scale (Series). Available from: http://digimap.edina.ac.uk [Accessed 24 February 2021].

Example:

Ordnance Survey (2019) Map of Telford, Ironbridge and The Wrekin, 1:125,000 (OS Explorer Map 241). Available from: http://digimap.edina.ac.uk [Accessed 24 February 2021].
